Budget decisions have been made by our Governor and our Legislators during this year’s legislative session.

We have received a huge cut in funding of over $500,000 for this year, on top of the cuts we received last year. As you know, we have not received any funding increases in more than six years, while our costs (like yours) for gasoline, health insurance, food, utilities and everything continues to skyrocket.

The State of Rhode Island is completely changing the service system for people with developmental disabilities. Changes for adults include reducing group home beds, cutting funding for ALL participants, and changing eligibility processes and choices for most people.

Please attend this critical meeting to provide suggestions and other alternatives. Major cuts and reductions will be made for most participants of THG - time is of the essence.  Action must be taken within a few weeks or our entire agency will be in jeopardy.
