Development Office

The Development Office has the responsibility for a complete program of raising funds and materials from both the private and public sectors. Development plans and organizes all resources, financial and volunteer, to support services and programs for The Arc of Northern Rhode Island. All gifts should be directed to the Development Office.

The Development Office staff has a leadership roll in planning, managing, and executing fund raising initiatives. The staff provides guidance and support to volunteers and serves as the organization's primary liaison with the agency donors. The Director of Development serves as the primary contact to the Board of Directors for all fundraising issues.

Some of the various fund raising efforts include: annual giving, planned gifts, special events, commemorative giving, annuities, endowments, grants, and accepting new and used equipment.

Additional responsibilities include organizing and managing capital and comprehensive campaigns, soliciting contributions, functioning as a representative of The Arc within the community and acting as marketing and public relations channel as time permits.
